Indigenous Geography of the American West
Meet Dakota Goodhouse and discover indigenous geography, mapmaking, and place names—the same things Lewis and Clark learned, or tried to, from Sacagawea, Sheheke-Shote, and others!
Dakota, who is Yanktonai and Hunkpapa Lakota, is an expert on numerous aspects of Northern Plains Native American history and culture.
Dakota will be at the Interpretive Center throughout most of the day, with a scheduled talk at 2:00 PM.
