Mandan's Independence Day Parade

Presented by Mandan Automotive Chevrolet and Subaru, Mandan's Independence Day Parade has grown to be the largest in North Dakota, drawing families from near and far to partake in a tradition that is as old as our city itself.

The parade's history is rich, with a legacy that dates back to a time when the band formed in front of Liberty Hall and marched to the schoolhouse, gathering citizens on foot and on horseback to form a large, enthusiastic procession. This tradition has continued year after year, with each parade marking a celebration of our nation's freedom and a testament to the patriotism that runs deep in our community.

As part of the Mandan Rodeo Days, Mandan's Independence Day Parade is not just a celebration of independence but also a reflection of our city's colorful history and the values we hold dear. Mandan is proud to have been recognized as a national finalist for "Most Patriotic City" and to have received the governor's award for North Dakota Tourism Event of the Year.
