Rosemaling with Molly

Learn a beloved Scandinavian folk art with local artist Molly McLain.

Known for its flowing scrollwork, ornate curves, and floral designs, Rosemaling is the art of decorative painting originating in rural Norway in the 1700s. Molly will guide participants through basic strokes of beginning rosemaling in the Telemark and Hallingdal regional styles. Participants will come away with practice sheets and their own small Rosemal piece of their choice of design to take home. Come with the intention to learn and make a small piece to gift or enjoy for years to come.
