WHEN:

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

WHERE:
North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum

The ND250 Commission invites all North Dakotans to participate in the state’s official commemoration and celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The free public event is being held Nov. 2 to coincide with North Dakota Statehood Day, marking the anniversary of the state’s admission to the Union in 1889. It also launches North Dakota’s efforts to honor its role in America’s history through storytelling, culture, community, and service.

The day’s activities will allow guests to enjoy music, education, and history throughout the museum and in the auditorium. Guests can enjoy a lively afternoon of music, performances, children’s activities and community exhibits throughout the ND Heritage Center & State Museum.

The museum will also feature interactive booths and exhibits hosted by community organizations, state organizations and military representatives, as well as children’s activities including face painting, patriotic crafts, and visits from the Bismarck Larks mascots.

The ND250 Kickoff Celebration is designed for all ages — an afternoon to learn, connect and celebrate together as North Dakota launches its journey toward America’s 250th anniversary.
